Project Description:

SEEKING 60 second sound works and 60 second silent videos from composers and artists. 
Submissions may be new works designed specifically for this project or 60 second excerpts from existing works.
 No geographic limit to producer's location - international call. ​

60 sound pieces and 60 videos will be selected from the call for entries. They will be subject to random and/or intentional pairings for public presentation in a variety of venues. A new web page will be constructed using these works. The web interface will allow visitors to intentionally choose pairings or randomly pair sound pieces and videos to create a wide array of juxtapositions and experiences of this collection of possibilities (3600 potential pairings). 

UP TO THREE SUBMISSIONS PER ENTRANT ARE ACCEPTABLE IN EITHER / BOTH Video or Audio categories.
Sound Guidelines:

​Content: 
there are no stylistic preferences. we want to encourage submission of electronic music of all genres, sound or noise pieces,
field recordings, deconstructions, reconstructions, text works, spoken word, combinations of all of the above etc. and new works produced specifically for this project.
 
Duration: submitted works must be 60 seconds or less - works that are under 60 seconds should be surrounded by silence -
on either or both the beginning and end - so that the total duration is exactly 60 seconds.

AIF or WAV @ 48k/24 bit ONLY
DO NOT SEND SCORES

UP TO THREE SUBMISSIONS PER ENTRANT ARE ACCEPTABLE IN EITHER / BOTH Video or Audio categories.

Only works produced since 2016 will be considered.

Video Guidelines:

Content: There are no stylistic preferences. we want to encourage submission of silent video works of all genres; new works produced specifically for this project or excerpts from existing works.

Duration: submitted works must be 60 seconds or less of silent video: no titles or credits. 
(However, works can contain text-on-screen as part of the content.) Works that are under 60 seconds should be surrounded by black - at the head or tail or both - so that the total duration is exactly 60 seconds.

VIDEO file formats:
1080p (1920x1080 HORIZONTAL FORMAT),H264 compression, 29.97 fps, export video only - NO AUDIO TRACK

Only works produced since 2016 will be considered.

THERE IS NO FEE TO SUBMIT $00.00. Producers selected for the project will be asked to contribute $10 to help cover costs of production.
 
In order to promote a direct experience of the work itself, we are not accepting program notes.
