Norman G. Bourque was the eldest of 8 siblings. At the age of 16, Norman went to work to help support the family, later in life he achieved his GED. Norman was bi-lingual, speaking both French Canadian and Spanish. He worked closely with his father in a furniture upholstery business working within a small facility that was formerly a bakery. He had a knack for making fudge, baking pies, and ballroom dancing. Though, his true passion was creating these intricately detailed women's fashion drawings after attending night art classes. He could have worked within the fashion industry but elected not to, to remain close to the family. The work is presented in honor by both the Lemieux and Bourque families.
The original drawings are not for sale however special prints will be available for sale.
