Meet Krista, a Five Points Launchpad Artist. For almost a year after graduating from art school, Krista's studio was her bedroom floor. Today, the FPG, Hartford Art School, University of Hartford Launchpad Initiative, not only provides Krista affordable studio space, but also connects her with a community of other emerging artists and the opportunity through Five Points to network with established professionals. YOUR generosity helped make this happen!
Dear Friend of Five Points,
Thanks to YOU, Five Points Gallery is GROWING!
Launchpad Artist Space: Introduced in March of 2017 to support emerging artists through affordable studio space, has been expanded to accommodate recent graduates of the Hartford Art School. The shared studio spaces are located above Five Points Gallery in the heart of historic downtown Torrington. In addition to work space, the initiative offers a mentorship program, a serious emerging artist community and a Five Points biennial exhibition opportunity.
Public Arts Project: The Torrington Yarn Bomb, the first Five Points Public Arts Project, was installed on June 11, 2016. The project involved nearly 500 people ages 2 to 102 and was viewed by thousands.
YOUR gift to the Five Points will help to support these 5 major goals.
