Five Points Annex
About:
The Annex, an expansion of the Five Points, Hartford Art School / University of Hartford Launchpad program, is designed as a non-juried community pop-up gallery managed by the Launchpad artists.
The exhibition space is located at 17 Water Street two doors up from Five Points Gallery.
Five Points Gallery Annex presents a unique opportunity for the Launchpad artists to learn gallery management while exhibiting their ongoing work in a professional environment. Local / regional artists and artisans will also have the opportunity to rent the Annex space for solo or group exhibitions. Five Points will only take a 20% commission on works sold in the Annex.
In addition to presenting exhibition opportunities for emerging and established artists and artisans, the Launchpad artists will host workshops and other community related arts programs.
The Launchpad expansion was made possible by an anonymous private donation, the support of the Torrington Downtown Partners, the generosity of Lowe’s and an incredible volunteer renovation effort headed by Bill Haygood, Mark Croce, Eric Hammer, Edward Cook and Kerry LeClair.
