Evan James Mangan | FINAL HEAVEN

STATEMENT
And it's like a blinding lighting system that is running on fumes each flash takes a little longer to develop new versions of real-time content in context before making semblance of a shadow  mirrored itself. Where am I again. Looking for a way out with you, you see inside me.

BIO
Brought up in the temperate world wind of Connecticut, Evan James Mangan has the fearless creative sensibility of a true New England artist. Evan is self taught and specifies in collage, acrylic painting, and mixed-medium. He often utilizes found objects, giving them a second life as violent creatures floating in a surrealist space. Probably his most popular work, Evan’s collages are darkly whimsical, heavy with earnest truth. His style is overall otherworldly surrealism mixed with passionate abstractions that are truly his own. Evan’s process is expressive and unadulterated by strict lessons; he has created his own techniques including paint-spattering, image collecting, and generally organic expression. He is excited to share his ideas with the world and other artists, and he has a rich knowledge of different philosophies and media. He hopes his art makes people think and feel differently, even if only for a little while.

Kathryn Adams | MYSTIC FIRE

STATEMENT
I am creative, I am a child; I sit on the floor with a mess of materials gathered around me and allow myself to become immersed in the flow of process. My art depicts my truest fears with my own whimsical humor. It is how I express myself to you, and resolve the questions I know you can’t necessarily answer. Maybe you’ve asked the same questions yourself.

BIO
Kathryn Adams is a CT native artist who has been drawing and painting her whole life. In her paintings, she pairs vibrant and unusual color combinations with strange primal characters to create deeply intuitive and dreamlike images. Kathryn combines her intuitive creativity with the training she received from her grandmother/ artistic mentor, and two years majoring in Fine Arts at Corning Community College in New York State. She uses surreal compositions to place the viewer in a strange unreal place, where they can hopefully experience their own spiritual contemplation while witnessing the naive honesty of her own.
